Supernatural Star Jared Padalecki Sells in Studio City
Demon-hunting actor Jared Padalecki has exorcised a home sale in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles.
Padalecki, who stars as Sam Winchester on the long-running CW series “Supernatural,” received $2.4 million for the Studio City property, according to a report by the Los Angeles Times. The veteran television actor had asked $2.495 million for the Spanish-style house when he listed it in November 2013. He originally paid $1.775 million for the home in 2009.
Described as “Montecito in Studio City,” the celebrity hideaway was built in 1924 and has four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and an additional half bath. Open interiors span more than 3,800 square feet and have vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and various rustic finishes.
Of its many highlights, we were drawn to the living room area, which features towering stained glass windows and a custom-tiled fireplace. Other amenities include an updated country-style kitchen, a library with valley views, and a patio area complete with a fountain and native flora.
Padalecki, 31, rose to fame as a regular on the show “Gilmore Girls” before joining the cast of Supernatural in 2005. The popular horror-fantasy series has since become one of the most popular shows in its genre and was recently renewed by the CW for a 10th season.
Gail Steinberg and Ingrid Sacerio of Dilbeck Realtors had the listing. Melissa Alt of Teles Properties represented the buyer in the sale.
